This is the place where you can give me a holla if you find anything in the archives you missed out on and would like to have reposted: just leave a comment under this post and I'll see to it as soon as possible.
hello,I'm french so I try to speek english, your blog is know in france! It's a very good idea can you upload the record of "torque", True Spirit: Tresor Compilation Vol. 10 and Derrick May "Innovator" please ? very very thanks!
how are ya? first of all, thank you very much for the "blade runner" bootlegs. I'm a huge fan from the movie & soundtrack(s)(??!!) and considered it, 'till "dogville", the best movie EVER...hehe well, tryed to download your "Reposted: Blade Runner Gongo Edition" but the link isn't available anymore. I know it's hard (and probably boring) making another reupload but I'm sorry for asking ya to do it again, please. thanks in advance and congrats again for your great job. many hugs from Brazil, sérgio.
how are you? Hope everything is ok. :) Thank you so much for the "gongo edition" reupload!!!! That made me really happy. As I've told you before, I'm a Blade Runner fan since it was released on movie. Liked that idea of "caos future", with the humans still thinking about the same existential questions as all of us. Gonna try to find some books from Philip K. Dick. Thanks again for the reupload, I know it takes a lot of time (and work), it was very kind from ya. Keep rockin', my friend. :) Best Wishes, hugs, sérgio.
I don't have Blood On The Moon on cd, but I have a pretty decent 192kb/s rip on some mp3-cd. Will look for it and upload in the next few days. High time for some new posts anyway. Cheers!
hi there, i`ve been looking for the seefeel albums everywhere, alas to no luck. i came to your site looking for blade runner, and almost had a heart attack with excitement when i saw your seefeel post... alas, the link was down! if you have time to put it back up i would sure appreciate it, even for a few days or so... i`ll keep a look out anyway. cheers!
I'll upload the Seefeel-albums over the weekend. You were lucky to get the Blade Runner stuff, 'cause multiply just informed me that they received a complaint and had to remove them.
from seefeel anonymous: great! well, great i managed to get them... i wonder who complained? i think gongo is the best version i`ve heard... hunted ages for esper, but was a bit dissapointed really. the ambient brakes between tracks are nice, but go on a bit too long sometimes and although it seems to match the film order, that doesn`t mean it makes good listening order. anyway, i`m using those plus the official release to splice together my own perfect mix! brilliant!
thanks so much for seefeel by the way! if you have any other early warp stuff i for one would sure appreciate a blog entry on it!!
I am totally with you regarding Gongo vs. ESPER. The ESPER edition is really admirable, but Gongo just flows better as an album.
Guess the complaints come either from Warner Bros. or Vangelis' people. I've already used several file sharing services, link protection etc, but the uploads always get deleted after some weeks at the most.
Early Warp, well, I'll see what I can do. Actually, I'm only posting out of print stuff, but maybe I can come up with something. Just drop by again from time to time!
Hi, dj ron! Unfortunately, the Blade Runner-uploads keep getting trolled, but I'm thinking of a solution. I'll probably up them as private playlists on my mulitply account, so anybody who wants them will have to register there and send a request to be my friend. A bit complicated, but I can't think of a better solution at the moment.
been neglecting this blog for much too long now. There is a solution and I will probably add it to this post too: I've got a mirror-blog on multiply (there's also some stuff you won't find here, but those uploads will be added to the blogger-site).
Anyway, go to http://multiply.com and register there. Then go to http://squaredancer.multiply.com and send me a request to add you to my contacts. multiply had to delete the uploads too because of complaints, so I upped them as private playlists for my contacts.
A bit complicated, but I can't think of a better way. Right now. Cheers!
i was curious to know if you had Alan Lamb's "Night Passage" 2 cd and if so...if you planned on posting it any time soon? hope you are well, cheers, jay in Japan
Shut my page down for the time being. Another site had grabed a few of my posts... http://myfavvouritesound.blogspot.com/ They had the nerve to tell that they had uplaoded to Rapidshare & that the post was no longer mine. Could use a little support from the blog community.
please please please could you put Jeff Mills Live at the Liquid Room, Tokyo back up. i've searched everywhere for this since my original got stolen at a party.
white silk: no idea whether you'll be reading this since it's been ages since you requested the NERD albums. But I finally found them and will re-up tomorrow.
WLFC: Thanks for the heads up, some nice sonics on your site. And I like the attitude/philosphy, even though I'm not much of a smoker myself :-) Cheers!
guter blog! just wanted to inform you that i made a little post about your blog. if you have any comments, amendments or requests - let me know! you'll find me at http://sunbathinglizard.wordpress.com cheers, sunbathinglizard
Hi, bosla! Go to http://multiply.com and register there. Next, go to squaredancer.multiply.com and invite me to become your online friend. After I've accepted your invitation you will have access to the Gongo edition on my multiply site.
Hi, All this Blade Runner talk reminds me of a rumour I heard years ago when tech step was at it's peak of a track called Replicant by Ed Rush or Optical or both. Does anyone know anything about it, or even better have a link to it. Cheers
Hi, Paul! There's a super-rare white label 12" called Replicant by DJ Trace and Nico. They used a sample from the film, but apparently didn't have the dough to clear it. Been looking for it for years, but haven't found a rip yet (prices for vinyl copies are totally insane).
Hi, Bill! Glad you like the blog. I don't have that UR release yet, though, and actually it's a bit against my policy to post new (or relatively easily available, for that matter) releases anyway. Cheers!
You might remember us... we are WE’RE LATE FOR CLASS, an independent improv band that gives away our music. We’ve just released our 20th post, A Collection, and it features our best work from the last year.
We’re writing you because you’ve been kind enough to promote us in the past and we hope that you might be interested in posting our new album on your fine blog. It would mean a lot to us to reach your wider audience... and to just be acknowledged by other bloggers like yourself would be a treat. Here’s a link to get all of the codes for the cool animated cover and full album MP3 player, should you like to post them for your readers...
And you can see how all this looks on our own blog... http://werelateforclass.blogspot.com/
Of course... as you already know, there’s nothing in this for you, except a big “thanks.” You’re already in our blog’s link list, “Bloggers Kind Enough To Promote Us Even Though There's Zilch In It For Them.” So you’re fully aware, however, we are also contacting a few other friends and blogs to get as much exposure as we can. Since we’re not profiting from this venture, we can only hope the blogging community will help out one of their own with promotion. And... the cool animated gif (which works perfectly in Blogger) will look great on your page and draw plenty of attention. Should you need anything else, just let us know.
We’re Late For Class is all improv and pro-herb, so an altered state of mind is highly recommend for optimum listening pleasure. You never know... you might even like us. We can be reached at werelateforclass@hotmail.com. Please feel free to tell us what you think. We’ve got thick skins and would love the feedback. Above all, thanks for taking the time to read and consider us.
All the best... WLFC
PS: Feel free to remove all this crap from your comments.
Hi, b dub! Those N.E.R.D. albums are still online, it's just that my free divshare account has exceeded the monthly download limit of 50GB. So check back next month, they should be available again.
Hi, I'd love to grab a copy of this album, specifially I'm just after a decent 320k mp3 of 'Minus' from that album. I would buy it if I could find it anywhere...
Well the one album i really really wanted (as opposed to about half of the rest, which i really want, and the other half, which doesn't make my tingle dingle yet I still want) was the Jammer N.A.S.T.Y. mix, and the upload expired. Pretty please?
Thanks for the re-up, Square Dancer. Great blog. Rumi, Techsteppin, UK Bhangra, Jeff Mills, Galaxy 2 Galaxy, Jammer: all pretty damn good music. I'm not in the mood for post-punk, but the posts seem full of obscure goodness as well.
One small problem though: I downloaded the Torque techstep compilation (yeah, can't get enough of those), and CD1 is no problem, but when I downloaded CD2 it turned out to be "Trojan Dub Massive chapter 1, pt.2/chapter 2 bonus versions." Help?
Sorry to bother again, but the last time it was close but no sigar :-). The fixed Torque link only leads to 'T 2 (2)', the second part of the second disk. That still leaves 'T 2 (1)' unavailable, with the first eight songs of the second disk. Por favor signor?
Having just discovered Gary Clail on your blog after hearing "Who Pays The Piper" I am trying to find everything he's ever done! Could you please repost Dreamstealers cos' I cant seem to find it anywhere!
can we get a re-up on N.E.R.D - In Search Of (1st Version). I can't find it anywhere and ive never heard the difference of the first version. thanks a lot for your help
Hey SD, Just a quick note. Our MassMirror link went away (and we MAY kill our DivShare link) but we DO have a back up link to download "A Collection." http://www.shareonall.com/A_Collection_wtfj.zip Hope you get a chance to update and thanks again for all the support. All the best... WLFC
I just wanted to let you know i've started a site dedicated to these forms of music - and i'm featuring your rss feed on the front page. Please, if you have time join in the discussions, we'd love to see you.
I have finally got myself together, so take a look at http://chaliceandting.blogspot.com/ and let me know what you think. I seem to remember having some African Headcharge lying around somewhere in my vinyl collection, will see what I can do. Cheers again for One Way System...
My compliments on the blog. I was wondering if you could re-post some of the GAS (Wolfgang Voigt) records you had uploaded a while ago (2006?). It would be greatly appreciated.
The last few weeks I was mainly occupied with spending some quality time with da missus, so apologies for the late replies to you all.
Barbi-Q: You're very welcome. And if you come across Maritime Hall, please post it on your blog :-)
broken boys: Thanks for the info, I withdrew the post since I'm only upping stuff that's out of print or otherwise hard to obtain.
I'll yet have to give your tunes a really thorough listen, but I really liked what I heard so far.
Joshu: Thanks for the nice comment. I won't repost the Voigt albums since Kompakt recently reissued the complete Gas backcatalogue as a really reasonably priced boxset. But the links are still alive, so I'll post them for you here:

Just wanted to say I started a website dedicated to these forms of music - and I am with your RSS feeds on the homepage. Please, if you have time to participate in the discussion, we'd love to see you.
Hi, I came across your site and wasn’t able to get an email address to contact you about some broken links on your site. Please email me back and I would be happy to point them out to you.
hey there! i was hoping that you could maybe help me with this, i recorded this live concert from dutch radio somewhere around 1983, i was very much into german neue welle and post-punk back then (and still am), i love this music and have been wondering who these guys are for the last 29 years or so:)
Hey man, I'd be so grateful if you could re-up the Renegade Dhols compilation. It's nowhere to be found on the internet and it seems like a pretty awesome collection. Who knows if you still read these comments, cheers anyway
hello,I'm french so I try to speek english, your blog is know in france! It's a very good idea can you upload the record of "torque", True Spirit: Tresor Compilation Vol. 10 and Derrick May "Innovator" please ?

ReplyDeleteHi There,
ReplyDeletehow are ya?
first of all, thank you very much for the "blade runner" bootlegs. I'm a huge fan from the movie & soundtrack(s)(??!!) and considered it, 'till "dogville", the best movie EVER...hehe
well, tryed to download your "Reposted: Blade Runner Gongo Edition" but the link isn't available anymore. I know it's hard (and probably boring) making another reupload but I'm sorry for asking ya to do it again, please.

ReplyDeleteSérgio: just in case you didn't see it, the Gongo Ed. is back up again for download. Cheers and greetings to Brazil!
Hi There Square Dancer,
ReplyDeletehow are you? Hope everything is ok. :)
Thank you so much for the "gongo edition" reupload!!!!
Best Wishes,
hugs,
sérgio.
Hi SquareDancer,
ReplyDeleteThanks again for posting 3rd from the Sun. I wonder do you have any other Chrome albums, if so Blood on the moon would be of particular interest.
Kind regards,
Paul.
Hello Paul,
ReplyDeleteI don't have Blood On The Moon on cd, but I have a pretty decent 192kb/s rip on some mp3-cd. Will look for it and upload in the next few days. High time for some new posts anyway. Cheers!
Just want to drop a line and say thanks for all the good music, especially all the Blade Runner records! Please keep up the good work!

Hello, disco1970! Thanks a lot for your kind words. Been on a bit of a blogging-hiatus, but there'll be some new posts soon.
ReplyDeletehi there, i`ve been looking for the seefeel albums everywhere, alas to no luck. i came to your site looking for blade runner, and almost had a heart attack with excitement when i saw your seefeel post... alas, the link was down! if you have time to put it back up i would sure appreciate it, even for a few days or so... i`ll keep a look out anyway. cheers!
ReplyDeleteI'll upload the Seefeel-albums over the weekend. You were lucky to get the Blade Runner stuff, 'cause multiply just informed me that they received a complaint and had to remove them.
ReplyDeletefrom seefeel anonymous:
ReplyDeletegreat! well, great i managed to get them... i wonder who complained? i think gongo is the best version i`ve heard... hunted ages for esper, but was a bit dissapointed really. the ambient brakes between tracks are nice, but go on a bit too long sometimes and although it seems to match the film order, that doesn`t mean it makes good listening order. anyway, i`m using those plus the official release to splice together my own perfect mix! brilliant!
thanks so much for seefeel by the way! if you have any other early warp stuff i for one would sure appreciate a blog entry on it!!

I am totally with you regarding Gongo vs. ESPER. The ESPER edition is really admirable, but Gongo just flows better as an album.

Early Warp, well, I'll see what I can do. Actually, I'm only posting out of print stuff, but maybe I can come up with something. Just drop by again from time to time!
Heya! Many thanks for your brilliant work here. Any chance of getting the Gongo files online again?
ReplyDeleteCheers!
ReplyDeleteHello - is there any way of getting the Blade Runner versions? I realise that you cant really post them on your, rather fine, site!
ReplyDeleteAny suggestions?
Hi,
ReplyDeletebeen neglecting this blog for much too long now.
Right now. Cheers!
That should be: "I can't think of a better way right now." No idea why I made two sentences out of it... who cares :-)
ReplyDeletei was curious to know if you had Alan Lamb's "Night Passage" 2 cd and if so...if you planned on posting it any time soon?

square dancer, check the myspace of broken boys at www.myspace.com/brokenboysmusic. dubstep, electronica?
Square Dancer,
ReplyDeleteMy compliments on the blog. I was wondering if you could re-post some of the GAS (Wolfgang Voigt) records you had uploaded a while ago (2006?). It would be greatly appreciated.
Joshu
The last few weeks I was mainly occupied with spending some quality time with da missus, so apologies for the late replies to you all.
ReplyDeleteBarbi-Q: You're very welcome.

Also, stay tuned for brother Reinhard's Sturm project which I'll share soonish.
I don't think you ever posted it, but I'm trying to get a hold of
